Ibu hamil di daerah endemik berisiko terkena malaria yang dapat mengakibatkan komplikasi terhadap ibu dan janin bahkan kematian. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh gambaran tentang pengalaman ibu hamil penderita malaria dalam merawat dirinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Tujuh informan berpartisipasi yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Analisa data menggunakan tematik content analisis. Penelitian ini menemukan tujuh tema yang berkaitan dengan perawatan diri ibu hamil penderita malaria: pemahaman ibu tentang malaria selama kehamilan, upaya menjaga kesehatan diri dan janin, mendekatkan diri kepada Tuhan, ketakutan dan kecemasan ibu hamil penderita malaria, dukungan yang diterima, pelayanan kesehatan yang diterima, serta harapan ibu hamil penderita malaria. Pregnant mothers in the endemic areas have a risk to get malaria disease that can lead to a complication or even death to the mother and her fetus. This research aimed to obtain the description of the experience of pregnant mothers with malaria in taking care of themselves. This study applied a qualitative research design with phenomenological approach. The participants were seven informers who were selected using purposive sampling method. The data were analyzed using thematic content analysis. This research found seven themes related to the prenatal care of pregnant mothers with malaria, namely: the mother?s understanding of malaria during pregnancy, the efforts to protect their own and fetal health, the approach to the lord, fear and anxiety of pregnant mothers with malaria, the received support, the received health service, and the hopes of pregnant mothers with malaria. |
