ABSTRAK Kajian mengenai komunitas di Indonesia terutama komunitas dengan basisteknologi masih sangat terbatas. Maka dari itu penelitian ini dilakukan. Komunitasyang menjadi objek penelitian adalah Komunitas BlankOn, sebuah komunitasLinux yang dibentuk oleh Yayasan Penggerak Linux Indonesia (YPLI).Komunitas ini berkomunitas untuk bersama-sama membuat piranti lunak asliIndonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan data berupa hasilwawancara tertulis lewat surat elektronik (surel) dan data lainnya berupa gambardalam lamam web dan kepustakaan yang mendukung. Teori yang digunakanadalah teori yang mengacu pada teori Representasi yang dirangkum oleh StuartHall dengan analisis gambar menggunakan teori semiotik Roland Barthesmengenai. Pembahasan Ideologi mengacu pada teori Antonio Gramsci mengenaihegemoni dan ideologi. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan adanya representasiresistensi komunitas yang bernegosiasi dan bernaturalisasi dalam wacana dan logodengan tujuan memperluas resistensi. Ideologi Komunitas BlankOn mengadaptasiideologi Open Source yang berlaku global yakni gift culture. Konteks ke-Indonesiaan menjadikan ideologi gift culture diperkuat dengan ideologikebangsaan. Ideologi Kebangsaan dan nasionalisme muncul sebagai pendambaanatas Indonesia yang berdikari. ABSTRACT Study of communities in Indonesia, especially the community with the technologyis still very limited. Thus this research was conducted. Community which is theobject of research is the BlankOnlinux community, a community formed byYayasan Penggerak Linux Indonesia or Linux Mover Foundation Indonesia(YPLI). This community create communal activity to build an original software ofIndonesia. This study used qualitative methods with data in the form of a writteninterview via electronic mail (email) and other data in the form of images in webpages and literature that support. The theory used is the theory which refers to thetheory of representations, which are summarized by Stuart Hall with imageanalysis using semiotic theories of Roland Barthes. Ideology refers to a theoreticaldiscussion of Antonio Gramsci on hegemony and ideology. The results of thediscussion showed that the representation of community resistance performnegotiation and naturalization of the discourse and logo with the aim of expandingresistance. Ideology of BlankOnlinux Community adapts gift culture which comefrom Open Source community in global context. In Indonesia context this giftculture is reinforced by the ideology of nationalism. Nationalism ideologyemerged as a dream for an independent Indonesia. |
