Abstract
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai tokoh-?tokoh dalam novel A Toy City karangan Lee Dong Ha dan kaitannya dengan tema serta pemaknaan toy city. Dalam menganalisis tokoh, metode yang digunakan adalah metode close reading. Teori yang digunakan sebagai acuan adalah teori tokoh, penokohan, sudut pandang, dan tema. Hasil pembahasan tokoh membuktikan bahwa tokoh mendukung tema, yaitu dampak Perang Korea terhadap masyarakat Korea Selatan pada tahun 1955, yang terlihat dalam kisahan hidup masing-masing tokohnya, dan sudut pandang akuan terbatas yang digunakan dalam kisahan mempengaruhi pemaknaan toy city.
......This thesis explains the characters in the novel A Toy City written by Lee Dong Ha and its relation to the theme and meaning of toy city. Close reading methodology is used to analyze the characters in this novel where as reference is used the theory of characters, characterizations, point of view, and theme. The result proves that the figures support the theme; the impacts of Korean War against the people of South Korea in 1955. It can be seen through the narratives of each characters, and the point of view used in this novel which affect the meaning of toy city.
