Efek tindak tutur tokoh Charlie Kenton terhadap Max Kenton dalam film Real Steel : analisis ilokusi kompetitif

Skripsi ini membahas tentang dialog yang terjadi antara dua tokoh yaitu Charlie Kenton dan Max Kenton dalam film ?Real Steel? yang disutradarai oleh Shaun Levy. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis meneliti apakah penggunaan kalimat dalam dialog yang dipakai oleh kedua tokoh tersebut mampu mencapai tujuannya. Selain itu, penulis juga meneliti efek yang terjadi mengenai hubungan antara kedua tokoh tersebut setelah penggunaan kalimat dalam dialog tersebut diujarkan. Penulis akan menganalisa dialog dengan mengacu pada teori ilokusi kompetitif Leech yang merupakan ilokusi dengan menggunakan tipe kesopanan negatif. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan ilokusi kompetitif ternyata tidak terlalu efektif apabila digunakan dengan maksud agar mitra tutur menuruti ujaran dari penutur. Selain itu, penggunaan ilokusi kompetitif ternyata terbukti membuat hubungan antara kedua tokoh tersebut menjadi renggang. This research explores the dialogue between the two characters which are Charlie Kenton and Max Kenton in the film Real Steel directed by Shaun Levy. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Through this research, the writer observes whether the use of the sentences uttered in the dialogue between those two characters reach its purpose. The writer also observes the effect of the sentences uttered on the relationship between the two characters. The writer analyses the dialogue by applying Leech's competitive illocution theory which explains illocutions by using negative politeness concept. This research finds that the use of the competitive illocution is not effective if it is used with a purpose of making the hearer obey the speaker. The use of competitive illocution also proves that it makes the relationship between the two characters become distant. |
