Merokok merupakan salah satu faktor gaya hidup yang dapat mengakibatkan masalah kesehatan pada masyarakat dan memiliki dampak buruk terhadap kesuburan pria. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh rokok terhadap kualitas dan kuantitas sperma pada pria infertil di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kuantitatif dengan desain kasus kontrol. Kelompok kasus adalah pria infertil dengan kualitas sperma abnormal, dan kelompok kontrol adalah pria infertil dengan kualitas sperma normal sesuai kriteria WHO edisi ke 4 tahun 1999, dengan pajanan yaitu merokok ≥ 10 batang per hari, selama ≥10 tahun dan kadar nikotin ≥ 1,5mg. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pria perokok 10 ? 20 batang perhari memiliki odds untuk menderita kualitas sperma abnormal 8,6 kali lebih besar dari responden yang tidak merokok dan memiliki odds 7,7 kali untuk menderita motilitas sperma abnormal setelah di kontrol stres dan alkohol, memiliki odds 21,4 untuk menderita konsentrasi abnormal setelah dikontrol stres dan narkoba dan memiliki odds 27,4 kali menderita morfologi abnormal setelah dikontrol stres, alkohol dan narkoba. Dan odds meningkat pada pria perokok 21 - 40 batang perhari, yaitu memiliki odds untuk menderita kualitas sperma abnormal 39,4 kali lebih besar dari responden yang tidak merokok dan memiliki odds 30,1 untuk menderita motilitas sperma abnormal setelah dikontrol oleh stres dan alkohol, memiliki odds 47,9 kali menderita konsentrasi sperma abnormal setelah dikontrol stres dan narkoba, memiliki odds 171,7 kali menderita morfologi abnormal setelah dikontrol stres, alkohol dan narkoba. sehingga dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh merokok terhadap kualitas sperma.
Smoking is one of the lifestyle factors that can lead to health problems in society and have an adverse effect on male fertility. This study aims to determine the effect of smoking on the quality and quantity of sperm in infertile men in Jakarta. This study uses quantitative design with case-control design. Group of cases is infertile men with abnormal sperm quality, and control groups were infertile men with normal sperm quality according to WHO criteria 4th edition 1999, with the exposure that is smoked ≥ 10 cigarettes per day, for ≥ 10 years and ≥ 1.5 mg nicotine levels. The results showed male smokers 10-20 rods per day had odds of abnormal sperm quality to suffer 8.6 times more likely than respondents who do not smoke and had odds 7.7 times to suffer from abnormal sperm motility after in the control of stress and alcohol, has the odds 21.4 to suffer from abnormal concentrations after controlled stress and drugs and has 27.4 times the odds of suffering from abnormal morphology after controlling stress, alcohol and drugs. And the odds increased in male smokers 21-40 rods per day, which has odds to suffer from abnormal sperm quality 39.4 times more likely than respondents who do not smoke and has a 30.1 odds for suffering from abnormal sperm motility after controlled by stress and alcohol, has 47.9 times the odds of suffering from abnormal sperm concentrations after controlled stress and drugs, has 171.7 times the odds of suffering from abnormal morphology after controlling stress, alcohol and drugs. so that it can be concluded there are effect of smoking on sperm. |
