ABSTRAK
Literasi informasi merupakan kemampuan individu untuk ?mengenal suatu informasi yang dibutuhkan dan memiliki kemampuan itu untuk menempatkan, mengevaluasi dan menggunakan secara efektif informasi yang diperlukan (ALA, 1989:1). Tujuan penelitan ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi informasi siswa tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas dan Kejuruan di Kota Depok. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan literasi informasi siswa SMA/SMK di Kota Depok merata, yaitu 22.6% siswa dalam kategori ?Kurang?, 25.8% siswa dalam kategori ?Cukup?, 24.5% siswa dalam kategori ?Baik?, dan 27.1% siswa dalam kategori ?Amat Baik?.
Abstract
Information literacy is a set of abilities requiring individual to recognize when information is needed and has the abilities to locate, evaluate and use required information effectively (ALA, 1989:1). The purpose of this research is to know the abilities of information literacy students in the high school and the vocational level in Depok City. This research used a quantitative descriptive with a survey methods. The result suggested that the abilities of information literacy students in the high school and the vocational level in Depok City are fair, 25.8 percent of the student is in the ?less? category, 24.5 percent of the student is in the ?enough? category, 24.5 percent of the student is in the ?good? category and 27.1 percent of the student is in the ?very good? category.
