Penelitian ini membahas pengembangan website edukasi untuk meningkatkan kewaspadaan mahasiswa terhadap keselamatan kebakaran di FKM UI dengan 3 tahap utama yakni (1) Identifikasi kebutuhan dan permintaan upaya peningkatan kewaspadaan mahasiswa di FKM UI; (2) Analisis peluang pengembangan website edukasi; (3) Perancangan dan pengembangan prototype website edukasi; (4) Simulasi prototype website untuk melihat respon mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan gabungan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan dan permintaan peningkatan kewaspadaan mahasiswa terkait keselamatan kebakaran di FKM UI, terdapat peluang dan hambatan untuk mengembangkan website edukasi di FKM UI, dan ada respon positif terhadap prototype website edukasi keselamatan kebakaran FKM UI. This paper investigates the development of a website as an alternative strategy to increase student’s awareness of fire safety in Public Health Faculty Universitas Indonesia through 3 steps: (1) Identify needs and demands of measure to increase student’s awareness; (2) Identify the opportunity to develop website as tool to increase student’s awareness; (3) Design and produce a website prototype as output; (4) Identify user acceptance of website prototype that has been developed. This study uses both quantitative and qualitative method with cross-sectional as design study. Results suggest that (1) There is needs and demands of measures to increase student’s awareness of fire safety; (2) There is chances and threads in developing a fire safety education website; (3) Regardless the existence of obstacles, the prototype fire safety education website received positive feedback from students. Future research should investigate and measure the effect of specific website strategies in increasing student’s awareness of fire safety. |
