Abstract
Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode serta kebijakan akuntansi terkait pengakuan pendapatan PT.SMS. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa metode serta kebijakan pengakuan pendapatan PT.SMS tidak digunakan secara konsisten serta terdapat beberapa kebijakan yang tidak sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku di Indonesia. Melalui hasil yang diperoleh, sangat disarankan bagi PT.SMS untuk menggunakan metode secara konsisten serta memperbaiki sistem penagihan lebih efektif sehingga pendapatan dapat diakui pada periode nya.
......This study aims to analyse the revenue recognition in PT.SMS. The findings indicate that the accounting method and policy which used by the company has not been used consistenly and in some cases not comply to accounting standard in Indonesia. Thus, the results strongly suggest that corporate must use these policy and methods consistenly and the corporate also need to improve the invoicing process to be more effective in order to recognise the revenue on its period.
