Abstract
ABSTRAK
Breastfeeding self-efficacy (BSE) merupakan salah satu aspek penting yang mendorong ibu untuk menyusui bayinya. Berbagai faktor dapat mempengaruhi BSE ibu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan nilai BSE ibu menyusui di Rumah Sakit Sayang Ibu dan Bayi (RSSIB) dengan non RSSIB serta untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross- sectional dengan menggunakan survey analitik deskriptif. 188 ibu yang dipilih secara konsekutif dari RSSIB dan non RSSIB berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai BSE ibu menyusui di RSSIB (median = 57,00, IQR = 55,00; 68,00) dan non RSSIB (median = 50,00, IQR = 35,00; 56,25) dengan nilai p = 000, nilai OR= 13,97. Pengalaman menyusui sebelumnya merupakan faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap BSE ibu menyusui di RSSIB (OR= 10,74) dan non RSSIB (OR= 14,46). BSE dapat dijadikan acuan untuk mengevaluasi efektifitas program RSSIB terhadap keberhasilan menyusui.

This study aimed to compare the mothers' BSE in a baby-friendly hospital and non baby-friendly hospital and to identify the influencing factors. A cross-sectional study design was applied using a descriptive analitical survey where 188 participants were consecutively recruited for this study. This study found that there is statistically significant difference (p = 000, OR= 13,97) between the mothers' BSE in the baby-friendly hospital (median = 57,00, IQR = 55,00; 68,00) and the non baby-friendly hospital (median = 50,00, IQR = 35,00; 56,25). The mothers' breastfeeding experience was the most influencing factor to the mothers' BSE either in the baby-friendly hospital (OR= 10,74) or in the non baby-friendly hospital (OR= 14,46). This study suggested that the BSE can be a applied to evaluate the effectiveness of the baby-friendly hospital program to the successful of brestfeeding.
