Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang gambaran citra tubuh remaja yang mengidolakan tokoh idola. Citra tubuh merupakan persepsi individu dan orang lain tentang bentuk dan ukuran tubuh individu. Remaja biasanya mengharapkan ukuran dan bentuk tubuhnya menjadi ideal seperti apa yang sering dilihatnya, salah satunya tokoh idola. Metode penelitian deskriptif sederhana dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara acak sederhana pada 224 remaja dan menggunakan Contour Drawing Rating Scale sebagai instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 89,3% remaja yang mengidolakan tokoh idola di SMAN 1 Depok memiliki citra tubuh positif. Pemahaman tentang citra tubuh perlu diberikan kepada remaja seperti di lingkungan sekolah agar remaja mengerti perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi pada tubuh beserta dampaknya.
......This study aimed to identify the overview of body image in adolescents who idolize idols. Body image is the perception of the individual and others about individual?s body shape and size. Teens usually expect their body shape and size to be ideal as what they used to watched, like idols. Simple descriptive study with simple random sampling technique to 224 students and used the Contour Drawing Rating Scale as an instrument of research. The result showed 89,3% of teens who idolize idols in SMAN 1 Depok have a positive body image. Understanding of body image needs to be given to adolescents in the school environment in order to understand the changes that occur in the body and the impacts.
