Abstract
Krisis lingkungan terjadi karena ulah manusia. Manusia sering kurang memahami alam dan memiliki kesulitan untuk menciptakan sebuah relasi yang baik dengan lingkungan hidup. Skripsi ini membahas relasi antara manusia dan lingkungan hidup dalam novel Partikel karya Dewi Lestari. Penulis menganalisis unsur-unsur struktur naratif pada novel dengan pendekatan ekokritis. Hasil kesimpulan skripsi ini adalah novel Partikel mengandung sebuah gagasan utama bahwa pada hakikatnya manusia dan alam adalah satu.
......Our environmental crisis is caused by human culture. People often lack understanding of nature and have difficulty building a good relationship with their environment. Many narratives seek to change culture by improving such understanding, and this thesis takes the Indonesian contemporary novel Supernova: Partikel, written by Dewi ?Dee? Lestari as possible example of such work. In this thesis, the goal of the research is to explain ecocriticism and understand the ecocritical content of this novel. And indeed, evaluating Partikel from an ecocritical perspective we conclude that it helps us to understand nature and explains us how human and nature are one.
