Abstract
Skripsi ini membahas tentang penerapan rancangan mesin pemotong pelat otomatis pada kapal pelat datar, khususnya kapal ikan untuk nelayan. Analisa penerapan ini dilakukan dengan studi pustaka, pengamatan langsung, dan wawancara. Hasil dari pengolahan data berupa modal biaya material mesin potong pelat otomatis dan efektifitas dari waktu yang dihasilkan dari perbandingan antara plasma cutting dengan flame cutting. Analisa ini merupakan contoh rancangan visual sebagai dasar acuan realisasi mesin potong pelat otomatis dan penerapannya pada kapal di kemudian hari. Hasil dari analisis ini merupakan salah satu bentuk untuk kemajuan industri maritim di Indonesia.
......This thesis discussed about the application of the automatic plate cutting machine design for flat hull ship, especially for fishing boats for fisherman. Analysis of the application was done by doing a study of literature, direct observation, and interview. The result of data processing was in the form of capital cost of the automatic plate cutting machine materials and the effectiveness of time resulting from the comparison between the plasma cutting and flame cutting. The analysis was an example of visual design as a basic reference of automatic plate cutting machine realization and its implementation for the ship in the future. The result of the analysis was one of the efforts for the progression of maritime industry in Indonesia.
