Abstract
Tolkien.

Human imagination works on the design process as an idea catalyst that will be use in the design process. Fiction affects design process as a source of direct inspiration. Direct inspiration can be happen in architectural forms in two ways, static and dynamic that developed in the case studies. Fiction development to reality is a hyper reality condition thus makes the case studies become simulacrum. The case studies that will be discussed in this essay are the development of hobbit houses based on reader's imagination of J.R.R. Tolkien's narration.
