Abstract
Skripsi ini membahas konsep multikulturalisme dalam tiga fabel karya Rafik Schami, seorang penulis Suriah-Jerman, yang berjudul Albin und Lila, Der Schmetterling dan Der Schnabelsteher. Tujuan skripsi ini adalah untuk memaparkan struktur dari ketiga fabel Rafik Schami tersebut dan kaitannya dengan multikulturalisme di Jerman. Metode ynag digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan berpegangan pada teori kepengarangan Rafik Schami didukung dengan teori fabel Isti Haryati dan teori identitas budaya dari Stuart Hall.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur fabel yang terdiri dari penokohan, tema, alur, latar nilai moral dengan ditunjang proses pencarian identitas tokoh utama di ketiga fabel tersebut menggambarkan konsep multikulturalisme Rafik Schami, bahwa asal, identitas dan integrasi merupakan inti sekaligus komponen penting yang dapat menciptakan konsep multikulturalisme yang baik di Jerman, sebagai salah satu negara dengan tingkat masyarakat yang heterogen dan multikultural tertinggi di Eropa Barat.
......This thesis discusses the concept of multiculturalism in three RafikSchami's fables, a Syrian-German author, entitled Albin und Lila, Der Schmetterling and Der Schnabelsteher. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the structure of three RafikSchami's fables and its relation to multiculturalism in Germany. The method used in this thesis is a qualitative method by holding on to the theory of authorship RafikSchami and supported by the theory of fable by IstiHaryati and the theory of cultural identity by Stuart Hall.
The results showed that the fable structure, which is consisting of character, theme, plot, setting, moral values and aided by the process of finding the identity of the three main characters in those fables illustrates the concept of multiculturalism by RafikSchami, that the origin, identity and integration are the core as well as an important component that can create a good concept of multiculturalism in Germany, as one of the countries with the highest heterogenous and multicultural society in west Europe.
