Profesionalisme merupakan kunci penting bagi konsultan dalam menyediakan layanan jasa konsultansi yang mengutamakan adanya olah pikir (brainware). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan hubungan antara iklim komunikasi di lingkungan kerja proyek, kepuasan kerja dan kinerja dengan profesionalisme konsultan sumber daya air. Kerangka teori utama yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Profesionalisme. Populasi penelitian ini adalah konsultan yang telah memiliki sertifikat keahlian sumber daya air dari HATHI (Himpunan Ahli Teknik Hidraulik Indonesia) dengan sampel sebanyak 110 responden yang dipilih secara acak/random. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi berganda.Hasil penelitian ini adalah (i) iklim komunikasi yang tercipta di lingkungan kerja berhubungan secara signifikan dengan profesionalisme konsultan; (ii) kepuasan kerja berhubungan secara signifikan dengan profesionalisme konsultan; (iii) kinerja berhubungan secara signifikan dengan profesionalisme konsultan; (iv) iklim komunikasi yang tercipta di lingkungan kerja berhubungan secara signifikan dengan tingkat kepuasan kerja yang dicapai oleh konsultan; (v) iklim komunikasi yang tercipta di lingkungan kerja berhubungan secara signifikan dengan kinerja konsultan; (vi) kepuasan kerja berhubungan secara signifikan dengan kinerja konsultan; (vii) iklim komunikasi, kepuasan kerja dan kinerja secara bersama-sama berhubungan secara signifikan dengan profesionalisme konsultan. Professionalism is key for consultants in providing consultancy services which emphasized the process of thinking (brain ware). The purpose of this study is to explain the relationship between communication climate in the project work environment, job satisfaction and job performance with professionalism of water resources consultants. Theoritical framework behavioral perspective of professionalism. The population of this study were consultants who have expertise certificate on water resources from HATHI (Indonesian Association of Hydraulic Engineers) with sample size of 110. Sample were determined with simple random sampling method. Data were analyzed using a multiple regression method.The results of this study were (i) the communication climate in the project work environment significantly associated with professionalism of consultants, (ii) job satisfaction was significantly associated with the professionalism of consultants, (iii) job performance significantly associated with the professionalism of consultants, (iv) the communication climate in project work environment significantly related to job satisfaction levels achieved by the consultants, (v) the communication climate in the project work environment significantly associated to the job performance of the consultants; (vi) job satisfaction significantly associated to the job performance of the consultants; (vii) the communication climate, job satisfaction, and job performance were jointly significantly associated with professionalism of consultants. |
