PR serves as a boundary spanner (link) including the 'bridge' between the public, both external and internal, in terms of accessibility of information, share aspirations, etc. Activity boundary spanner as a liaison officer or as a source of information formalized through the channels of advanced information technology with management information system which managed a rapid, precise, accurate and informative. PR berfungsi sebagai boundary spanner (penghubung) termasuk ?menjembatani' antara publik UI, baik eksternal maupun internal, dalam hal aksesibilitas informasi, menyalurkan aspirasi, dsb. Aktifitas boundary spanner sebagai pejabat penghubung atau penyediaan informasi diformalisasikan melalui saluran teknologi informasi canggih dengan model sistem informasi manajemen yang dikelola secara cepat, tepat, akurat dan informatif. Pemberitaan UI di media tahun 2011-2012 cenderung meningkat terdiri dari berita positif, berita negatif dan berita netral atau tanpa memberikan implikasi persepsi positif maupun negatif untuk UI. Peranan Humas sebagai boundary spanner dan buffer (peredam) dilihat dari upaya Humas UI mendeteksi dan memproses informasi mengenai perubahan yang terjadi. Tujuan penelitian ingin mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa tentang peran Humas sebuah Universitas dalam manajemen konflik internal. Desain penelitian kuantitatif positivisme, teknik sampling berstrata, populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa UI angkatan 2009-2012. |
