Abstract
Thesis ini membahas mengenai dampak dari pembentukan AFTA bagi signifikansi Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Indonesia di Asia Tenggara. Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara anggota ASEAN mensetujui dan meratifikasi pembentukan Regional Trade Agreement dalam bentuk Asean Free Trade Area/AFTA di kawasan Asia Tenggara, dimana mengenai Regional Trade Agreement sendiri diatur dalam Article XXIV dan XXV General Trade and Tariff / World Trade Organization. Meski dihadang oleh berbagai macam pro dan kontra atas dampak potensial dari AFTA, Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan dan perkembangan perekonomian yang positif dan signifikan di kawasan ASEAN pasca diratifikasinya AFTA tersebut.

The focus of this thesis is the impact of the AFTA establishment for the Signification of Indonesia Economic Development in South East Asia. Indonesia as a member of ASEAN have agreed and ratify the establishment of Regional Trade Agreement in the form of Asean Free Trade Area/AFTA in South East Asia while the matters of Regional Trade Agreement is stated under the Article XXIV dan XXV General Trade and Tariff / World Trade Organization. In spite of pro and contras of the potential impact of AFTA, Indonesia have obtain the significant economic development after the ratification of AFTA.
