ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang : Gigi tiruan penuh yang estetis dipengaruhi oleh pemilihan gigianterior. Selain itu, susunan gigi anterior merupakan faktor yang menciptakan efekestetis. Terdapat berbagai tipe penyusunan gigi anterior. Teori dentogenikmenjabarkan tipe maskulin untuk pria, tipe feminin untuk wanita, dan tipe “denture”.Akan tetapi tidak ada aturan baku yang menyatakan konsep mana yang palingestetis.Persepsi setiap orang terhadap estetik berbeda-beda. Saat prosespembuatan gigi tiruan, dokter gigi dan pasien dapat memiliki persepsi yang berbedaterhadap estetik yang dihasilkan gigi tiruan yang akan dibuat. Setidaknya, efekestetik gigi tiruan dapat menghasilkan penampilan mirip dengan gigi asli dan sesuaidengan wajah pemakainya. Adanya susunan gigi anterior yang bermacam-macamdan persepsi setiap individu yang dapat berbeda, maka penentuan estetik dalampembuatan gigi tiruan merupakan suatu tantangan.Tujuan : untuk menganalisis persepsi orang awam dan dokter gigi terhadapsusunan gigi anterior gigi tiruan penuh.Bahan dan Cara : Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 37 orang awam dan 37 orang doktergigi. Pasien terdiri dari 1 orang pria dan 1 orang wanita. Masing-masing pasiendibuatkan gigi tiruan malam dengan 3 susunan gigi anterior yang berbeda. Dibuatfoto pasien yang sedang memakai gigi tiruan malam tersebut saat tersenyum lebar,sehingga didapat 3 foto untuk masing-masing pasien. Subjek penelitian dimintauntuk menjawab kuesioner berdasarkan foto-foto pasien yang diamatinya. Jenispenelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik observasional cross sectional. Penelitian inidianalisis dengan uji tes Kappa.Hasil : Terdapat persamaan persepsi antara orang awam dan dokter gigi. Padafoto pasien pria, orang awam dan dokter gigi memilih susunan gigi anterior tipemaskulin, demikian pula pilihan pada foto pasien wanita.Kesimpulan : Tipe maskulin merupakan tipe susunan gigi anterior yang dipilihuntuk pasien pria dan wanita berdasarkan persepsi orang awam dan dokter gigi.
ABSTRACT
Introduction : Complete denture is aesthetically influenced by the selection ofanterior teeth. In addition, the arrangement of the anterior teeth are factors thatcreate aesthetic effects. There are various types of anterior tooth arrangement.Dentogenic theory described masculin type for male and feminin type for female,beside those, there are denture type. There is no rule that states what type is themost aesthetic.Aesthetic perception of each person will vary. In making the denture, thedentist and the patient may have a different perception. At least, the esthetic effect ofthe dentures provides an appearance similar to natural teeth and acceptable with thewearer's face. There are many arrangement of the anterior teeth and the perceptionof each individual that can be different. The determination of the aesthetic in thefabrication of complete denture facing a challenge.Aim : to analyze perception of dentists and patients about the anterior teetharrangement of complete denture.Material and method : Subjects were 37 patients and 37 dentists. Modelsconsisted of 1 male and 1 female. Three different anterior teeth arrangement of waxtrial denture was made for each patient. Photograph was made to the patient witheach wax trial denture while they in a big smile, so 3 pictures were made for eachpatient. Subjects were asked to answer the questionnaire based on the photographsobserveation. This was cross sectional analytic study and analized by Kappa testResult : There is a similarity perception among patients and dentists. In thephotograph of male model, patients and dentists choose anterior tooth arrangementof masculine types, as well as the photograph of female patients.Conclusion : The masculine type of anterior teeth arrangement were selected formale and female patients based on patients and dentists perceptions. |
