Struma nodosa merupakan pembesaran pada kelenjar tiroid yang teraba sebagai suatu nodul. Etiologi struma nodosa multifaktorial, dimana faktor risiko yang banyak ditemukan pada masyarakat perkotaan adalah pencemaran lingkungan, penggunaan alat kontrasepsi hormonal dan paparan goitrogenik. Manisfestasi klinis struma nodosa adalah adanya benjolan di leher. Karya ilmiah akhir ners ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis asuhan keperawatan post operative tiroidektomi pada klien dengan struma nodosa non toxic. Asuhan keperawatan post operative ini dilakukan pada Ny. R (39 th) yang dirawat di lantai 5 bedah RSPAD Gatot Soebroto. Evaluasi asuhan keperawatan menunjukkan bahwa klien pasca tiroidektomi memiliki prevalensi mengalami komplikasi hipokalsemia. Hasil dari pemaparan karya ilmiah akhir ners ini dapat memberikan gambaran kepada perawat agar memperhatikan tanda-tanda komplikasi tiroidektomi, khususnya kondisi hipokalsemia yang ditandai dengan adanya rasa kebas dan kesemutan di area wajah dan ekstrimitas, takikardia dan produksi keringat yang berlebih. Kondisi hipokalsemia yang tidak terdeteksi pada klien dapat menimbulkan kejang yang berujung pada kematian.
Struma nodosa was an enlargement of the thyroid gland as a palpable nodule. It had multifactorial etiologies, which found in urban communities such as environmental pollution, the use of hormonal contraceptives and goitrogenic exposure. Clinical manifestation of struma nodosa was a lump in the neck. The aim of this paper was to analyze the post operative thyroidectomy nursing care to clients with non toxic struma nodosa. Post operative nursing care was carried out in Mrs. R (39 years old) who were admitted on Surgical Ward 5th Floor RSPAD Gatot Soebroto. Evaluation of nursing care indicated that the client with post thyroidectomy had the prevalence developed complications, like hypocalcemia. This paper could also give a description to the nurse, that they have to notice for signs and symptoms of thyroidectomy complications, especially hypocalcemia. It could be characterized by numbness and tingling in the area of the face and extremities, tachycardia and increasing in sweat production. Hypocalcemia conditions that were not detected on the client could lead to death. |
