Abstract
Tugas karya akhir ini membahas perbandingan pola kerja yang dilakukan oleh lembaga antikorupsi di Indonesia dan Hong Kong yakni Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) dan Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). Penulisan ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pola kerja apa yang membedakan antara kedua lembaga sehingga ICAC dianggap lebih berhasil dalam memberantas korupsi daripada KPK. Dengan demikian, maka dapat diketahui langkah evaluasi apa yang dibutuhkan oleh KPK.
Hasil penulisan menyarankan bahwa diperlukan adanya penyempurnaan undang-undang pendukung KPK, penyusunan ulang rencana strategi KPK secara efektif dan efisien, serta penyempurnaan pola kelembagaan di dalam tubuh KPK.
This paper discusses the comparison of work pattern among the anti-corruption institutions in Indonesia and Hong Kong, known consecutively as Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). This paper aims to determine the differences of work pattern between those two institutions as ICAC is deemed to achieve better results in combating corruption than KPK. Thus, the discussion of this paper is able to find out the evaluation steps which should be done by KPK. The results suggest that the legislation supporting the KPK is need to be improved. In addition, redesigning KPK's strategic plans is necessary to be done effectively and efficiently, as well as improvement in institutional pattern within KPK's body.
