[ABSTRAK

Tuberkulosis paru merupakan salah satu penyakit infeksi penyebab kematian tertinggi di Indonesia. Pengobatannya yang lama dan sulit mengarahkan pada upaya pencegahan yang dimulai dengan identifikasi faktor risiko. Studi crosssectional analitik ini bertujuan untuk membahas hubungan usia terhadap prevalensi TB paru pada pasien DM tipe 2. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa ditemukan hubungan yang bermakna antara usia pasien di atas 40 tahun dengan peningkatan jumlah prevalensi TB paru pada pasien dengan DM

tipe 2. Karenanya, disarankan untuk melakukan proses pencegahan DM tipe 2 sebagai faktor resiko infeksi paru yang bersifat modifiable, terutama pada pasien dengan usia di atas 40 tahun

ABSTRAK

Lung tuberculosis is one of the high cause of mortality infection diseases in Indonesia. Recovering is usually difficult and needs long term of treatment, leading to the trend of preventing by identifying the risk factors. The purpose of this analytic cross-sectional study is to identify the influence of age to the prevalence of lung tuberculosis in patients with DM type 2. From the result of this study, it is known that there is statistically significant result concerning the influence of age older than 40 years old to the increase of prevalence of lung

tuberculosis in patients with DM type 2. Therefore, it is suggested to prevent DM type 2 as a modifiable risk factor of lung infection, especially in patients older than 40 years old.;Lung tuberculosis is one of the high cause of mortality infection diseases in
