[Perawatan Metode Kanguru (PMK) merupakan teknologi tepat guna perawatanbayi berat lahir < 2500 gram atau bayi berat lahir rendah (BBLR) denganmelakukan kontak langsung kulit ibu dan bayi. RSSIB RSUD CianjurABSTRAK melaksanakan PMK sejak 2010. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pelaksanaan PMK di rumah dan kontrol ulang paska rawat inap rumah sakit menggunakanmetode kualitatif dengan desain Rapid Assesment Procedure. Penelitian dilakukan pada ibu melahirkan dengan BBLR pada Maret-Mei 2012 dan dilakukan PMK. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pelaksanaan PMK di rumahpaska rawat inap rumah sakit belum optimal, karena pemahaman ibu tentang PMK masih kurang. Perlu kerjasama rumah sakit dan Dinas Kesehatan dalam pemantauan PMK di rumah dan kontrol ulang BBLR dengan PMK. ABSTRAK The Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) is proven to be the appropriate technology in caring low birth weight babies. The aim of this study was to access KMC practiseat home and hospital revisit by using qualitative methode with Rapid Assessment procedure. The informants were mother who give birth to low weight babies andpracticed KMC at hospital during March until May 2012. The result showed that KMC practise at after discharge was not regulary implemented partly was die tolack of understanding about KMC techniques.
