Penularan HIV/AIDS dari pasien ke perawat dapat terjadi melalui tusukan jarum suntik maupun kecelakaan kerja lainnya. Perilaku perawat dalam menerapkan program pencegahan infeksi HIV/AIDS (kewaspadaan standar) merupakan salah satu faktor penting terjadinya insiden tersebut. Perawat yang tidak mematuhi kewaspadaan standar berisiko tinggi terpajan HIV/AIDS di tempat kerja. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kepatuhan perawat terhadap kewaspadaan standar di RSKO Jakarta tahun 2012. Hasil penelitian terhadap 39 orang perawat menunjukkan ada 26 (66,7%) perawat yang memiliki perilaku patuh terhadap kewaspadaan standar. Dari hasil uji chi square, variabel yang berhubungan dengan kepatuhan perawat terhadap kewaspadaan standar yaitu pengetahuan, hambatan penerapan KS/KU, ketersediaan sarana dan fasilitas, informasi dan pelatihan, serta pengalaman tertusuk jarum suntik.ABSTRAK
Transmission of HIV/AIDS from patient to nurse can occur through the syringe puncture or by other accident at work. Behavior of nurses in applying HIV/AIDS infection prevention programs (standard precautions), is one of the important factors for the occurrence of that incident. Nurses that did not comply with standard precautions have high risk being exposed to HIV/AIDS in the workplace. Hence, this study aims to know factors associated with the compliance to standard precautions among nurses in RSKO Jakarta. The results of the research showed there were 26 (66,7%) nurses of 39 nurses who have compliance towards HIV/AIDS prevention program (standard precautions).
