[Apoteker adalah tenaga kefarmasian yang dapat menjalankan praktekkefarmasiannya pada berbagai fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat,diantaranya adalah apotek. Tugas dan fungsi apotek adalah sebagai tempatpengabdian profesi seorang apoteker yang telah mengucapkan sumpah jabatan;sebagai sarana farmasi yang melaksanakan peracikan, pengubahan bentuk,pencampuran dan penyerahan obat atau bahan obat dan sebagai sarana penyalurperbekalan farmasi yang harus menyebarkan obat yang diperlukan masyarakatsecara meluas dan merata.
