 Abstract
Skripsi ini membahas pandangan media massa internet di Rusia terhadap sushi sebagai produk budaya asing pada periode 2008-2013 dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka dan teori hegemoni oleh Antonio Gramsci. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses hegemoni sushi di Rusia yang membawa nilai budaya Jepang dan menggeser kuliner tradisional Rusia. Kondisi ini memicu pemerintah untuk membangun kontra-hegemoni melalui media massa terhadap pengaruh sushi di Rusia dan hal ini terlihat dari dominasi artikel yang bersifat resisten terhadap hegemoni sushi. ......This thesis discussed about how the online mass media in Russia view sushi as foreign cultural product within the period of 2008 until 2013 using the method of literature study and the theory of hegemony by Antonio Gramsci. The result shows the hegemony process of sushi in Russia which brought along Japanese cultural values and threaten the traditional Russian culinary. This situation triggered the government to create counter-hegemony through the mass media showed by the domination of articles which tend to be resistant towards the hegemony of sushi.
