Abstrak
kWh-meter digital memungkinkan pencatatan pemakaian energi lebih akurat dibandingkan dengan kWh-meter analog. Sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman saat ini pada rangkaian kWh-meter digital dapat disisipkan kontrol daya dan sistem pembayaran energi terpakai, sehingga memudahkan pemakai (user) dan pemasok energi (owner, PLN). Kontrol daya dan sistem pembayaran tersebut dirancang berbantuan frekuensi telekomunikasi GSM, sehingga dapat dilakukan dari jarak jauh tanpa kabel. Rancang bangun kWh-meter digital dalam hal ini dibuat dalam dua mode, yaitu : mode prabayar, dan mode pascabayar.
Digital kWh-meter has a higher possibility in recording used energy more accurately than the analog kWh-meter. As the advance of technology right now, power control and used energy billing can be inserted, so it made the user and the energy supplier (PLN) easier to do their job. Power control and used energy billing system is designed with the help of GSM frequency telecommunication, so it can be done from long range and wireless. This digital kWh-meter is made in two mode : prepaid mode and postpaid mode.
