ABSTRAK
Manajemen bencana dewasa ini tidak hanya memfokuskan perhatian pada tindakantindakanpenyelamatan pasca bencana, namun juga memfokuskan perhatian pada upayamelibatkan masyarakat untuk mengurangi risiko bencana alam. Wilayah RW 03 Cawangmerupakan wilayah rawan banjir dimana sebagian warganya membuang sampah rumahtangganya di kali Ciliwung. Fokus dari intervensi ini adalah pada upaya meningkatkankomitmen warga terhadap lingkungannya. Menurut Davis, Green dan Reed (2009),komitmen lingkungan dapat memprediksi perilaku pro lingkungan seseorang. Individuyang dengan komitmen lingkungan yang tinggi memiliki kecenderungan lebih besar untukberperilaku pro lingkungan (Davis et al, 2009). Teknik yang dianggap paling tepat untukmeningkatkan komitmen lingkungan adalah teknik Appreciative Inquiry. Analisis pairedsample t-test terhadap peserta workshop Appreciative Inquiry menunjukkan adanyapeningkatan rata-rata komitmen lingkungan yang signifikan t(19) = -6.662,p = .000. Dapatdisimpulkan bahwa teknik Appreciative Inquiry dapat meningkatkan komitmen suatukomunitas terhadap lingkungannya.
ABSTRACT
Today's disaster management not only focuses attention on the actions of post-disasterrescue, but also focuses attention on efforts to involve the community to reduce the risk ofnatural disaster and to reduce the underlying factors. The area in RW 2003 Cawang is aflood prone area where some residents throw their domestic household waste into theCiliwung river. The focus of this intervention is on the efforts to increase the commitmentof people to natural environment. According to Davis, Green and Reed (2009), thecommitment to environment can predict a person’s pro-environmental behavior. Individualswith a high commitment to the environment have a greater tendency of pro environmentalbehavior (Davis et al, 2009). A technique that is deemed most appropriate to improvecommitment to environment is the Appreciative Inquiry technique. A paired sample t-testanalysis on the participants of the Appreciative Inquiry workshop showed a significantchange of mean of the commitment with t (19) = -6662, p = 000. It can be concluded thatthe Appreciative Inquiry technique can improve the community's commitment to theenvironment. |
