 Abstract
Speech President Soeharto of the Republic of Indonesia as chairman of the non-aligned movement at the inaugural session of the eleventh conference of the heads of state or government of the non-aligned countries in Cartagena, Colombia, 18 October 1995. The Tenth Summit Meeting of our Movement has indeed been a watershed. It established beyond doubt the continuing relevance of Non-Alignment in the post Cold-War era. Comprising 113 countries of different political, economic, social and cultural backgrounds, has been able to maintain its unity and solidarity over four decades. And these include respect for the sovereign equality among states, national independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty, non-aggression, non-interference in domestic affairs and the fostering of relations of mutually beneficial cooperation among all nations, especially among the developing countries.
