Kondisi operasi optimal diperoleh pada waktu ekstraksi 80 menit, suhu 90°C, tekanan 3 bar, laju alir gas 0,4 liter/menit, konsentrasi pelarut tambahan 1 M, rasio padatan/larutan 0,02 g/ml. Persentase CaCO3 terlarut maksimal adalah 66,25%. Aspal yang dihasilkan mengandung 54,10 % aspal, 20,36% CaCO3, dan 25,54% padatan mineral lainnya. Indonesia's potential of Asbuton has not been utilized optimally due to the expensiveness of asphalt production cost. Strong acid solution can be used to produce asphalt by dissolving CaCO3 from Asbuton, but the waste from this solution can be harmful to the environment. Due to this problem, the usage of weak acid solution comes as an alternative way to produce asphalt. In order to increase asphalt production, salt chloride will be used as co-solvent because its ionic strength can increase salinity and solubility constant of CaCO3 solid. The extraction process will be performed on semi-batch extractor with the addition of ultrasonic wave. The optimum operating condition is achieved when the extraction process reaches 80 minutes at temperature 90°C, pressure 3 bar, CO2 flow rate 0.4 liter/minute, molarity of co-solvent 1 M, and the ratio of solid/liquid is 0.02 g/ml. The optimum percentage of dissolved CaCO3 is 66.25%. The yield of asphalt produced by this method has a composition of 54.10% asphalt, 20.36% solid carbonate, and 25.54% other solid impurities. |
