[ABSTRAKPada beberapa kasus, pedagang kaki lima (PKL) atau pavement economy melakukan penolakan terhadap penggusuran dan relokasi yang mengindikasikan bahwa lokasi menjadi hal yang sangat penting bagi para PKL. Mengaitkan pemilihan lokasi pavement economy dengan space syntax, maka pergerakan dalam kota dan isovist yang mempengaruhi keramaian akan berdampak pada pola persebaran pavement economy yang melakukan pemasaran dengan menggunakan sebagian jalan untuk langsung mendekati konsumen. Ujung Tenggara Kebon Kacang dan beberapa titik di Timur Kebon Kacang, pada area perbatasan dengan Grand Indonesia (GI) dan Plaza Indonesia (PI), terdapat sekumpulan pavement economy yang mengalami perubahan persebaran dari waktu ke waktu mengikuti perubahan intensitas manusia yang terjadi di lokasi ini. Hasil analisis studi kasus tersebut menunjukkan bahwa respon yang dilakukan pavement economy terhadap pergerakan dan keramaian dalam penentuan lokasi berbeda-beda bergantung pada jenis pavement economy. Di balik kegiatan informal oleh pavement economy, terdapat pula pengaturan tidak tertulis (informal) yang turut mempengaruhi pemilihan lokasi, melalui negosiasi ruang untuk di satu sisi mempertahankan keberadaan pavement economy yang menopang kehidupan bangunan formal dan di sisi lain tidak mengganggu penampakan bangunan formal. Relatingpavement economy location choice with space syntax conclude that movementinside the city and isovist which affect crowd will affect the spread of pavementeconomy that do the marketing by using part of street for approaching consumers.In the most southeast part of Kebon Kacang and several spots in the east of KebonKacang, on the borderline to Grand Indonesia (GI) and Plaza Indonesia (PI), thereare groups of pavement economy which pattern changes in time following thechange of human intensity in the location. The result of the study case analysisshows that the respon of pavement economy towards movement and crowd inrelation to location choice are different according to the each type of pavementeconomy. Behind the informal activity by pavement economy, there are unwritten(informal) regulations that also affects the location choice, through spacenegotiation, in one side, to keep the existance of pavement economy that supportthe life of the formal building and, in the other side, to not disturbing the look ofthe formal building.] |
