ABSTRACT
As an archipelago country, Indonesia much depends on water transportation. Water transportation including marine transportation is a crucial facility for
Indonesia. The Cirebon Port plays a big part as it serves as the gateway of commodity distribution for West Java, in particular for Cirebon. However, the port faces a challenging constraint of large amount of sedimentation that needs
huge cost of dredging. This study aimed to analyze the investment of Breakwater
extension for solving sedimentation problem. The method used to analyze the
feasibility of investment Breakwater is to calculate the IRR, NPV and Payback Period. The result shows that the extension of 300 meters the breakwaters are feasible with 27% of IRR rate, positive NPV, and payback period in seven years., As an archipelago country, Indonesia much depends on water transportation.
