 Abstrak

[ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas tentang reproduksi buku elektronik yang sekarang marak
ditemukan dan digunakan di media elektronik. Skripsi ini menganalisa bagaimana
kedudukan buku elektronik dibawah konvensi internasional seperti Konvensi
Berne, Traktak Hak Cipta WIPO, dan bagaimana buku elektronik berbeda dengan
Program Komputer seperti tertuang di TRIPS. Skripsi ini juga akan menganalisa
bahwa tindakan reproduksi buku elektronik tidak hanya tindakan memperbanyak
jumlah karya, tapi juga merubah media karya dan membuat adaptasi dalam
terjemahan buku elektronik, dimana semuanya membutuhkan izin tersendiri dari
penulis. Reproduksi buku elektronik terkait dekat dengan hak ekonomi seorang
penulis, tetapi dalam skripsi ini akan dijelaskan bahwa reproduksi buku elektronik
juga melanggar hak integritas penulis, dimana hak tersebut adalah hak eksklusif
seorang penulis dibawah hak moral. Kasus yang ditampilkan dalam skripsi ini
akan menjelaskan bagaimana reproduksi buku elektronik melanggar hak moral
dan juga hak ekonomi seorang penulis. Skripsi ini juga memuat wawancara
dengan narasumber dari Direktorat Jenderal Hak Kekayaan Intelektual terkait
dengan perlindungan otomatis yang menunjukkan upaya-upaya perlindungan
terhadap penulis yang tertuang dalam UU no. 19 tahun 2002 tentang Hak Cipta.

ABSTRACT
This thesis discusses about reproduced e-Books that is now commonly found and
used by the people in digital media. This thesis will analyze of how the e-Books
will be placing under the international conventions such as Berne Convention,
WIPO Copyright Treaty and how is it distinguished from Computer Program as
stated in TRIPS. This thesis also analyze that the act of reproduction in e-Books is
not only increasing the number of work, but also transforming media of works,
and adaptation in translations, which all of them requires a partial authorization
from the author. Reproduction of e-Books is closely related to the economic rights
of an author, however in this thesis, it will argue that reproduction of e-Books also
harm the rights of integrity of an author, which is one of the exclusive rights of an
author under moral rights. The cases featured in this thesis will show how
reproduced e-Books harm both moral right and economic rights of an author. This
thesis involving interviews with Directorate General of Intellectual Property
regarding automatic protection in order to exhibit protection remedies to author in
Law no. 19 year 2002.;This thesis discusses about reproduced e-Books that is now commonly found and
