[ABSTRAK Skripsi ini membahas tentang reproduksi buku elektronik yang sekarang marakditemukan dan digunakan di media elektronik. Skripsi ini menganalisa bagaimanakedudukan buku elektronik dibawah konvensi internasional seperti KonvensiBerne, Traktak Hak Cipta WIPO, dan bagaimana buku elektronik berbeda denganProgram Komputer seperti tertuang di TRIPS. Skripsi ini juga akan menganalisabahwa tindakan reproduksi buku elektronik tidak hanya tindakan memperbanyakjumlah karya, tapi juga merubah media karya dan membuat adaptasi dalamterjemahan buku elektronik, dimana semuanya membutuhkan izin tersendiri daripenulis. Reproduksi buku elektronik terkait dekat dengan hak ekonomi seorangpenulis, tetapi dalam skripsi ini akan dijelaskan bahwa reproduksi buku elektronikjuga melanggar hak integritas penulis, dimana hak tersebut adalah hak eksklusifseorang penulis dibawah hak moral. Kasus yang ditampilkan dalam skripsi iniakan menjelaskan bagaimana reproduksi buku elektronik melanggar hak moraldan juga hak ekonomi seorang penulis. Skripsi ini juga memuat wawancaradengan narasumber dari Direktorat Jenderal Hak Kekayaan Intelektual terkaitdengan perlindungan otomatis yang menunjukkan upaya-upaya perlindunganterhadap penulis yang tertuang dalam UU no. 19 tahun 2002 tentang Hak Cipta.
