representasi perkembangan sektor pariwisata Indonesia.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of transport infrastructure,
which consist of land and air transport, on the number of foreign tourist arrivals in
Indonesia. The analysis is based on a panel data set of bilateral tourism flows between
23 partner countries and Indonesia on 1995-2012. We employ a gravity framework to
analyze the tourism flow as a whole and also based on the origin country, in which we
divided into 4 groups of location, namely ASEAN, Asia, Europe and Pacific, to shows
an impact of origin country to the tourism flow to Indonesia in regards of Indonesia
transport infrastructure. Based on the result, transport infrastructure has strong
positive impact to tourism sector in Indonesia. Land transport and air transport shows
a strong impact on the flow of total foreign tourists in Indonesia. In details, road
density, which represent accessibility of tourism destination in the country, impact the
flow of tourists from Europe and Pacific. Furthermore, the total number of
international airports in Indonesia, as a representation of the gateway to visit
Indonesia, strongly impact the number of tourists in Indonesia, especially from
Europe and Pacific. In general, the number of foreign tourists as a whole is not
impacted by the availability of Low Cost Carrier to visit Indonesia.;The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of transport infrastructure,
