[ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas mengenai pembentukan sebuah komunitas adat melalui proses invensi tradisi dalam komunitas penghayat Agama Djawa Sunda (ADS) di Kelurahan Cigugur, Kecamatan Cigugur, Kabupaten Kuningan, Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, mengungkap mengenai peran penting nilai ajaran pikukuh tilu sebagai dasar acuan dalam pembentukan komunitas penghayat ADS. Selain membahas mengenai peran penting nilai ajaran pikukuh tilu, skripsi ini juga menunjukkan peran penting dari elit-elit lokal sebagai 'inisator' dan 'motor' dalam mengkonstruksi tradisi, yang hingga sekarang dapat hidup dan diterima oleh anggota komunitas. Terakhir, penelitian ini juga mengkaji aspek otoritas karismatik sebagai dampak yang ditimbulkan dari proses invensi tradisi dalam komunitas penghayat ADS. ABSTRACT;This thesis describes the forming of custom tradition through invention of tradition inthe life of Agama Djawa Sunda (ADS) believer community at Cigugur, Kuninganregency, West Java. The output in this research shows the important value of pikukuhtilu as a guidance in the ADS believer community. Other than describing theimportant value of pikukuh tilu, this thesis also indicates the important role of localelite as an initiator in constructing tradition that lives on the community until thispresent time.
