Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara attachment ibu-anak, attachment ayah-anak, dan self-esteem remaja akhir Kota Depok. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 104 remaja akhir di Kota Depok berusia 18-21. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised (IPPA-R) yang dibuat oleh Armsden dan Greenberg pada tahun 2009. Alat ukur ini mengukur attachment ibu-anak dan attachment ayah-anak. Sementara self-esteem diukur menggunakan kuesioner yang dibuat oleh Rosenberg (1965), yaitu Rosenberg?s Self-Esteem Scale yang diterjemahkan ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia dan mengukur satu dimensi, yaitu global self-esteem. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa attachment ibu-anak memiliki hubungan positif yang signifikan dengan self-esteem remaja akhir Kota Depok (r=0,204: l.o.s. 0,05) dan attachment ayah-anak tidak memiliki hubungan positif yang signifikan dengan self-esteem remaja akhir Kota Depok (r=0,068; l.o.s. 0,05).
The purpose of this study is to understand the correlation between mother- child attachment, father-child attachment, and self-esteem in late adolesence in Depok. The sample of this study consist of 104 late adolescence (18 ? 21 years old) in Depok. Mother-child attachment and father-child attachment measured by Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised (IPPA-R) which is created by Armsden and Greenberg on 2009. Whereas, self-esteem is measured by Rosenberg?s Self-Esteem Scale and measuring one dimension of self-esteem (global self-esteem). Result of this study showed that mother-child attachment correlates significantly with self-esteem in late adolescence in Depok (r=0,204: l.o.s. 0,05) and father-child attachment has no correlation with self esteem in late adolescence in Depok (r=0,068; l.o.s. 0,05).
