[Super freeze container merupakan suatu media penyimpanan berpendingin yangdapat mencapai temperatur sangat rendah hingga -60ᴼ C. Tuna merupakankomoditas yang memanfaatkan kontainer ini di dalam pengirimannya sebagaikomoditas ekspor beku. Dengan adanya kontainer ini memungkinkan tunamencapai kualitas nomor 1 yang sangat disyaratkan oleh negara Jepang sebagaipengkonsumsi tuna terbesar. Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara penghasil tunaterbesar di dunia seharusnya sudah memanfaatkan super freeze container. Olehsebab itu diperlukan adanya suatu studi baik dari konstruksinya hingga sistempendinginnya. Studi ini dimulai dengan perhitungan konstruksi dasar dandilanjutkan dengan perhitungan cooling load. Cooling load total yang diperolehdigunakan untuk mendapatkan parameter-parameter siklus refrigerasi dan terakhiradalah pemilihan komponen sistem refrigerasi. Pada sistem ini digunakan sistemrefrigerasi kompresi uap bertingkat atau cascade dengan menggunakan refrigeranR-404a dan R-23.;Super freeze container is a refrigerated storage that can reach very lowtemperature until -60ᴼ C. Tuna uses this container in its distribution as frozencommodity. With this container, tuna can be the most high quality tuna which isrequired by Japan as the largest country consuming tuna. Indonesia as the onebiggest country producing tuna should apply super freeze container. Due to thatreason, the study is needed from its construction until the refrigeration systems.Study is started with calculate the basic construction structure and continue withcooling load estimate.
