| [Twitter menjadi ruang publicsphere yang diciptakan dalam komunitas maya atauvirtualsphere. Penggunaannya pun bisa beralih fungsi menjadi ranah debat politik,gerakan mahasiswa hingga kampanye partai kepentingan demi meningkatakanelektabilitas. Untuk itulah penelitian mengenai hubungan antara jaringan sosial padaTwitter terhadap partisipasi politik online dan offline dilakukan. Dengan mengambilsampel mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam organisasi BEM FISIP UI 2014 dan BPMFISIP UI 2014. Dan hasilnya, bahwa jaringan sosial pengguna twitter cenderungkurang mempengaruhi partisipasi politik online dan offline. Namun, ditemukanbahwa dalam virtualsphere terjadi fenomena slacktivism dan clicktivism padamahasiswa.;Twitter have became shared information from user to other user. Even, it could be anew public sphere in a virtual sphere. The function of twitter may be used forpolitical aspect like debate, discussion, making a new student movements, orcampaign from political parties for successing their goals. This study is findingrelationship between social network on Twitter as independent variable and politicalparticipation. The sample of this study is member of BEM FISIP UI 2014 and BPMFISIP UI 2014. The results is relationship in social networking on twitter and politicalparticipation (online-offline) tend lowest. And, this study also finding phenomenonlike as slacktivism and clictivism in virtualsphere., Twitter have became shared information from user to other user.
