Abstract
Tahun 90-an, industri musik Korea diramaikan oleh kemunculan boyband dan girlband. Peristiwa ini menimbulkan fenomena fanatisme dikalangan penggemar. Skripsi ini akan membahas adegan-adegan dalam drama yang disutradarai oleh Shin Wonho berjudul Eungdabhara 1997. Adegan-adegan tersebut menunjukkan aktivitas tokoh Seong Shiwon sebagai fans berat dari boyband H.O.T. dan juga dampak yang dialami oleh tokoh tersebut karena sifat fanatisme yang dia miliki. Untuk menganalisis hal tersebut, digunakan metode deskriptif analitik.
Hasil penelitian ini akan menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas fanatisme yang diperlihatkan oleh tokoh Seong Shiwon dapat merepresentasikan fenomena fanatisme yang terjadi di Korea Selatan pada tahun 90-an.
In the 90s, Korean music industry enlivened by groups of boyband and girlband. This event yielded fanaticism phenomenon in the circle of fans. This thesis will be discussing about scenes from drama Eungdabhara 1997 directed by Shin Wonho. Those scenes will show us about character named Seong Shiwon as a massive fan of boyband called H.O.T. and how that fanaticism affected her. To analyze that, analytic descriptive method will be used. The result of this research will show us that the fan activities showed by Seong Shiwon may represent the fanaticism phenomenon that happened in South Korea in the 90s.
