[Menyadari tren pembelian kapal feri bekas dari luar negeri untuk dioperasikan di Indonesia dengan mengabaikan aspek stabilitas kapal ketika memodifikasi dan pemindahan operasi kapal ke rute pelayaran baru yang hanya mementingkan masalah bisnis menjadi hal sangat penting dipertimbangkan sebagai salahsatu penyebab kecelakaan kapal tenggelam. Salah satu hal yang mempengaruhi stabilitas kapal adalah pengaruh ketinggian gelombang yang ada dilautan. Oleh karena itu penting dilakukannya analisa stabilitas kapal terhadap ketinggian gelombang mengacu pada persyaratan International Maritime Organization (IMO). Hasil analisis menunjukan semakin tinggi ketinggian gelombang yang diberikan terhadap suatu kapal maka kapal pun akan merespon dengan semakin tingginya besaran maksimum lengan penegak dengan berupaya mempertahankan sudut maksimum lengan penegak berada untuk mendekati posisi stabil. Kriteria stabilitas berdasarkan perhitungan stabilitas yang mengacu pada IMO A.749 (18) menyatakan bahwa ada satu poin yang tidak memenuhi standar persyaratan yaitu sudut maksimum lengan penegak yang kurang dari 25ᵒ. Selebihnya kapal ini memenuhi standarisasi stabilitas yang telah ditetapkan oleh IMO, baik itu kriteria tambahan untuk kapal penumpang. Faktor kenyamanan pun tak luput diperhatikan dimana rolling period kapal ini tidak memenuhi batas minimum kenyamanan kapal penumpang yaitu 8 second. Results of analysis showed the higher height of waves given to a ship, then the ship will respond by increasing the maximum magnitude of the enforcement arm strives to maintain the maximum angle it to approach the enforcement arm is stable. Stability criterion based on calculation of calculation of stability which refers to IMO A.749 (18) states that there is one point that does not meet the standard requirements of enforcement arm of the maximum angle of less than 25ᵒ. This meets the standars of the rest of the ship’s stability set by the IMO, whether additional criteria for passanger ships.
