Penelitian ini ingin melihat bagaimana bingkai pemberitaan atau framing yang dilakukan harian Kompas terhadap gaya komunikasi dan gaya kepemimpinan Joko Widodo pada 100 hari kepemimpinanya sebagai gubernur DKI Jakarta dan bagaimana konstruksi realitas yang hendak dibangun oleh mediaKompas dalam pemberitaannya seputar gaya berkomunikasi dan kepemimpinan Joko Widodo.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme. Sementara teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis framing model William A. Gamson dan Modigliani.Objek penelitian ini adalah berita yang dimuat oleh harian Kompas tentang gaya komunikasi dan kepemimpinan Joko Widodo sebagai Gubernur DKI Jakarta dengan rentang waktu dari tanggal 15 Oktober 2012 sampai dengan 22 Januari 2013 yaitu 100 hari kepemimpinan Joko widodo sebagai Gubernur DKI Jakarta.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis framing dengan menggunakan Model Gamson dan Modigliani, penelitian ini menemukan 5 frame yang dihadirkan oleh harian Kompas dalam pemberitaanya terhadap gaya komunikasi dan kepemimpinan Jokowi sebagai Gubernur DKI Jakarta. Dari hasil frame tersebut terlihat bahwa pemberitaan harian Kompas cendrung positif kepada Jokowi
ABSTRAK
This research was implemented to figure out the framing applied by Kompas News towards the communication and leadership style of Joko Widodo during 100 days of his leadership as the Governor of Jakarta and how the reality construction designed by Kompas Media presented by its news discussing about the communication and leadership style of Joko Widodo. This research applied the qualitative approach with constructive paradigm. The analysis technique used in this research was the analysis technique of framing model Willian A. Gamson and Modilgliani. The object of this research was the news presented by Kompas News discussing about the communication and leadership style of Joko Widodo as the Governor of Jakarta with periode of time from October 15th 2012 to January 22nd 2013.
The result of the research analysis revealed 5 frames presented by Kompas News in its news towards the communication and leadership style of Joko Widodo as the Governor of Jakarta. The framing result revealed that Kompas News constructed Jokowi as the leader with transformation and transaction mission with equalitarian communication style
