ABSTRAK
Latar belakang: Kanker Nasofaring disebut juga sebagai "tumor kanton" (canton tumor), Terapi kanker nasofaring salah satunya adalah kemoterapi. Efek samping kemoterapi yang paling mnum terjadi adalah mukositis.Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh pemberian madu dan krioterapi (jus apel) terhadap skor mukositis akibat kemoterapi pada pasien kanker nasofaring.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian uji klinis (Randomized Controlled Trial=RCT). Dimana dalam penelitian ini melibatkan 22 orang responden yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok intervensi yang diberi kode A dan kelompok kontrol yang diberi kode B, Instrmnen yang digunakan untuk mengkaji skor mukositis adalah instrmnen OAG (Oral Assessment Guide).Hasil: Rata-rata responden berusia 46,8 tahun, mayoritas jenis kelamin responden adalal1 laki-laki, siklus kemoterapi yang sedang dijalani adalah kedua, jenis kemoterapi yang paling banyak digunakan adalah jenis kemoterapi yang berpotensi tinggi mengakibatkan mukositis. Ada peningkatan yang bermakna rerata skor mukositis serta selisilmya antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol (p=O.OOl. a=0,05; p=0.416, a=0,05), Terdapat peningkatan bennakna post intervensi antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol (p=O.OO 1, a=0,05).Saran: semua pasien kanker nasofaring yang menjalani kemoterapi sebaiknya diberi intervensi madu dan krioterapi (jus apel) guna mencegal1 mukositis karena intervensi tersebut tidak ada efek samping yang membahayakan.
