Abstract
Masalah kesehatan perkotaan timbul karena perubahan pola hidup manusia sehingga merupakan akar masalah dari munculnya masalah DM di masyarakat perkotaan terutama pada agregat dewasa Karya Ilmiah Akhir ini memberikan gambaran tentang asuhan keperawatan keluarga yang dilaksanakan pada keluarga Ibu S dengan masalah ketidakefektifan pemeliharaan kesehatan terkait DM terutama tentang pengaturan diet DM Implementasi yang telah dilakukan terdiri dari implementasi yang bersifat kognitif afektif dan psikomotor dengan pendekatan lima tugas kesehatan keluarga Intervensi yang menjadi unggulan ialah pengaturan terapi diet DM Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan gula darah sewaktu pada pertemuan pertama 310 mg dl menjadi 168 mg dl pada akhir pertemuan Ibu S mampu melakukan pengaturan makan sesuai diet DM dan terdapat dukungan dari keluarga
