[ABSTRAK Manusia senantiasa mengembangkan kearifan Iingkungan(ecological wisdom) berdasarkan pengalamannya beradaptasi secaraaktif, sebagai pedoman daiam mengolah sumber daya alam danmengelola lingkungan, karena ketergantungannya pada lingkunganhidup dan menyadari akan arti pentingnya keseimbangan Iingkunganyang harus dirawatnya. Adat Minangkabau merupakan mekanismeadaptif yang dikembangkan masyarakatnya dan memiiiki iandasanfilosomi dasar alam terkembang jadi guru, merupakan aouan norrnatifperiiaku yang sarat mengandung unsur-unsur pelestarian lingkungan.Melalui peran pendidikan, pewarisan nilai adat menjadi efektifdigunakan sebagai sarana pelestafian Iingkungan Salingka Danau.Penelitian ini bertuiuan untuk menemukan pemahamanmasyarakat Salingka Danau terhadap konservasi lingkungan yangberkaitan dengan kualitas pelestarian Iingkungan Saiingka Danau,menemukan pemahaman masyarakat Salingka Danau trhadappewarisan nilai adat Minangkabau yang berkaitan dengan pelestarianlingkungan, dan membuat model pewarisan nilai adat Minangkabauyang efektif digunakan sebagai sarana pelestarian lingkunganSalingka Danau.Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan secara kualitatifyang dikembangkan oleh Miles dan Hubemlan. Pengumpulan datadilakukan dengan data primer dan sekunder yang meliputi anaiisisfokus dan sub fokus. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasilangsung, pengisian angket, Serta in depth inten/iew denganresponden terpilih. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan analisisjaringan hubungan sebab akibat,Hasil peneiitian rnenunjukkan bahwa.- pelestarian Iingkungandapat didukung oleh pemahaman terhadap konservasi lingkunganyang berinteraksi positif dengan pemahaman terhadap pewarisan nilaiadat, dimana adat Minangkabau berisi berbagai nilai adat yang dapatdiwariskan dengan model yang melibatkan berbagai komponen,sehingga pewarisan nilai adat menjadi efektif sebaga? sarana dalarnpelestarian Iingkungan Danau.; ABSTRACT Human often improverecotogicai-wisdom as guidance to processnatural resources and 'manage environment due to theirindependences on living environment and their realization ofimportance of environmental balance that has to be maintained. Minangkabau custom contains variouscustom value which can be inherited with model involving educationfunction so that custom value inheritance will be effectively used asfacility in Salingka Lake conservation.The purpose of this study is to know about factors which causedecrease of environmental quality in Maninjau lake area, to find a partof Minangkabau custom being able to be inherited through educationin environmental cosenration, and to make a model of custom vaiueinheritance will be effectively used as facility of environmentalconservation lake._ Research methods used are qualitative approach improved byMiles and Huberman. Data collection is done with primary andsecondary data involving analysis of focus and sub focus. Techniquesof data collection are done by directly observation, questionnaire, andin depth intenriew with chosen respondents.
