[ABSTRAK tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan proses pengembangan koleksi yang meliputi kajian kebutuhan pemakai, seleksi, perancangan anggaran, pengadaan, pemeliharaan, dan penyiangan di Perpustakaan Sekolah Al-Izhar. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dan interpretasi deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Perpustakan Sekolah Al-Izhar belum memiliki kebijakan pengembangan koleksi secara tertulis untuk mengatur seluruh proses pengembangan koleksi. Saran penelitian ini ialah Perpustakaan Sekolah Al-Izhar perlu membuat kebijakan pengembangan koleksi secara tertulis untuk menstabilkan serta sebagai alat komunikasi di antara komunitas sekolah mengenai pelaksanaan pengembangan koleksi perpustakaan.ABSTRAK The purpose of this research is to describe the collection development process in Al-Izhar School Library which are consist of the study of users needs, selection, budget, acquisition, maintenance, and weeding. This research used qualitative approach and descriptive interpretative. The result of this research showed that Al-Izhar School Library does not have the written policy to manage the whole collection development process.
