Abstract
ABSTRAK
Kehidupan petani di Indonesia identik dengan kehidupan yang miskin dan berpendidikan rendah. Skripsi ini memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat masyarakat bergelar sarjana yang memutuskan untuk berprofesi sebagai petani. Salah satu hal yang mempengaruhi para lulusan sarjana tersebut adalah proses sosialisasi nilai budaya bertani yang mereka alami sejak usia dini. Maka tulisan ini mengkaji mengenai proses sosialisasi nilai budaya bertani yang terjadi di Desa Nunuk khususnya pada keluarga petani bergelar sarjana. Tulisan ini juga menjelaskan mengenai agen-agen sosialisasi yang terlibat di dalam proses sosialisasi budaya bertani tersebut. Selain itu, skripsi ini juga menjabarkan pengaruh tingkat pendidikan formal yang ditempuh oleh para lulusan sarjana terhadap usaha tani yang mereka jalankan. Skripsi ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan pengamatan terlibat dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa agen sosialisasi yang berperan penting dalam mensosialisasikan budaya bertani di Desa Nunuk yakni keluarga, lingkungan masyarakat Desa Nunuk, dan lembaga pendidikan. Setiap agen sosialisasi memiliki cara masing-masing dalam mensosialisasikan budaya bertani dan berupaya untuk tetap menjadikan pertanian sebagai mata pencaharian utama di tengah perkembangan zaman sekarang ini.
ABSTRACT
Indonesian farmer?s life is identical with proverty and low educated. This thesis shows that there are some of bechelor?s degree society that decided to become a farmer as their profession. One of the things that affect them is the process of farming culture?s socialization that they have been through since childhood. This thesis examines the process of farming culture?s socialization especially on bachelor?s degree farmer?s family at Nunuk Village. This thesis also explainabout the socializations?agent that involved on that farming culture?s socialization. In addition, this thesis describes the effect of formal education?s level on doing their job as a farmer. This thesis use a qualitative research?s method with participant observation and depth interview. The result of this research showed that the socialization?s agent that play an important role in socializing farming?s culture at Nunuk Village are family member, society environment, and educational institutions. Each agent of socialization has their own way in socializing the farming?s culture and strive to keep agriculture as the main livelihood in the middle of world development.
