ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Masyarakat masih mencari perawatan ortodonti cekat kepada non-ortodontis. Tujuan: Mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan penentuan pemilihan pemberi jasa pelayanan ortodonti cekat. Metode: Studi deskriptif analitik potong lintang pada 96 remaja yang sedang memakai alat ortodonti cekat. Data tentang faktor kepercayaan kesehatan, pendapatan orang tua, ketersediaan, aksesibilitas, kebutuhan (perceive need), biaya dan informasi diperoleh melalui kuesioner. Hasil: 55,2% memilih tukang gigi, 30,2% memilih dokter gigi, dan 14,6% memilih dokter gigi spesialis ortodonti, dan variabel kebutuhan merupakan faktor yang paling berhubungan dan berpengaruh terhadap pemilihan tenaga pemberi jasa pelayanan ortodonti cekat, diikuti biaya, aksesibilitas, serta informasi. ABSTRACT Background: People are still seeking fixed orthodontic treatment from non-orthodontist. Aim: To find various factors and the most influential ones in the selection of operator of fixed orthodontic appliance. Method: Descriptive analytic cross-sectional study was implemented in 96 adolescents using fixed orthodontic appliance. Questionnaire about health belief, income, availability, accessibility, perceived need, cost, and information was constructed. Results: 55,2% respondents chose dental quacks, 30,2% chose general dentist, and 14,6% chose orthodontist, the need, cost, accessibility and information found to be significant for selecting fixed orthodontic treatment operators. Variable need found being the most influential factor. |
