ABSTRAK Skripsi ini membahas mengenai bagaimana narasi moral panic berupa kekhawatiran(concern) dan amplifikasi kejahatan pemberitaan peristiwa penembakan polisi dalamLiputan Khusus ‘Penembakan Polisi’ di media Online kompas.com selama Agustus2013 hingga Januari 2014. Berita yang dominan menggunakan nilai berita threshold,risk, proximity dan violence. Berkaitan dengan itu, maka artikel-artikel berita yangmembahas mengenai peristiwa penembakan polisi dikemas dengan memuat nilai-nilaiberita diatas secara dominan. Melalui analisis isi dari pemberitaan yang terdapat diLiputan Khusus ‘Penembakan Polisi’ di media Online kompas.com, ditemukan narasimoral panic berupa kekhawatiran (concern) yang dikemas melalui pendapat pihakpihakyang dianggap memiliki legitimasi atau dianggap sebagai ‘pakar’ dalammengomentari peristiwa penembakan polisi tersebut seperti IPW, Kompolnas hingga pihak akademisi. ABSTRACT This minithesis discusses about how moral panic in form of concern andamplification of crime narrated in news coverage about the police shooting incidentscontained in Special Reports on 'Police Shooting' in kompas.com during August 2013to January 2014. These news dominated with news values of threshold, risk,proximity and violence. In connection with that, the news articles that discussed thepolice shooting incidents packed with loads of news values above. Through a contentanalysis of the news contained in the Special Reports on 'Police Shooting' in onlinemedia kompas.com, moral panic narrative was found the in the form of concernswhich packed through the opinion of the individuals that are considered legitimate or considered as an 'expert' to give comments on the event, such as Indonesian Police Watch, Kompolnas and the scholars. |
