ABSTRAK
Pasar modern adalah tempat pertemuan orang dalam kegiatan jual beli, oleh karena banyak terjadi kegiatan di pasar modern maka akan dihasilkan sampah yang cukup banyak. Pasar modern pada umumnya memiliki pengelolaan yang teratur termasuk pengelolaan sampah yang baik. Pada penelitian ini akan dicari volume timbulan dan komposisi sampah di Pasar Agung Depok 2 Timur sebagai data referensi untuk melakukan pengelolaan yang baik nantinya. Untuk mengetahui timbulan dan komposisi sampah di pasar tersebut digunakan Metode pengukuran menggunakan analisa load-count berdasarkan SNI 19-3964-1994 dan klasifikasi komposisi berdasarkan ASTM D 5231-92. Pada pasar ini dilakukan penelitian secara terpisah di lantai basement dan lantai 1 (mewakili lantai 2). Dari hasil penelitian didapat volume timbulan sampah di Pasar Agung Depok 2 Timur, pada lantai 1 memiliki rata-rata volume timbulan 0,698 m3/hari dan lantai basement memiliki volume timbulan 3,564 m3/hari. Komposisi sampah di lantai 1 didominasi oleh sampah Plastik sebanyak 46,4%, Kertas 17%, Kayu 2,2%, Sisa Makanan dan Kebun 12%. Sedangkan di lantai basement didominasi oleh sampah Sisa Makanan dan Kebun sebanyak 73%, Plastik 7,7%, Kertas 6%. Pada lantai 1 seluas 13.100 m2 yang memiliki rata-rata volume timbulan sebesar 0,698 m3/hari diperlukan 5 tong sampah yang berkapasitas 120 L. Pada lantai basement seluas 48.725 m2 yang memiliki rata-rata volume timbulan sebesar 3,564 m3/hari diperlukan 30 tong sampah yang berkapasitas 120 L. Pada Pengangkutan di lantai 1 digunakan gerobak pengangkut berkapasitas 0,88 m3 untuk mengangkut volume timbulan sampah sebesar 0,698 m3/hari, sehingga mampu mengangkut semua sampah di lantai 1 dalam sekali pengangkutan ke TPS. Pada Pengangkutan di lantai basement digunakan gerobak pengangkut berkapasitas 0,88 m3 untuk mengangkut volume timbulan sampah sebesar 3,564 m3/hari, sehingga gerobak tidak akan muat untuk mengangkut semua sampah dilantai tersebut oleh karena itu dilakukan 4-5 kali pengangkutan. setelah dilakukan proses pengolahan berupa 60% sampah kertas dan plastik didaur ulang dan 30% sampah sisa makanan dan kebun diolah menjadi kompos terjadi pengurangan timbulan sampah yang akan diangkut ke TPA sebesar 31,67%

The modern market is a meeting place of people in the buying and selling activities, so many activities going on in the modern market it will produce quite a lot of solid waste. Modern market in general have regular management including waste management is good. In this study will be sought generation volume and composition of solid waste in Pasar Agung Depok 2 Timur as reference data to perform proper management later. To determine the composition and waste generation on the market used measurement method using load-count analysis based on SNI 19-3964-1994 and classification of compositions based on ASTM D 5231-92.
