[ABSTRAK Tesis ini membahas mengenai proses berbagi pengetahuan antara staf dan pimpinanPerpustakaan Bank Indonesia. Adapun tujuan diadakannya penelitian ini untukmengetahui proses berbagi pengetahuan antara staf dan pimpinan perpustakaan BankIndonesia serta melihat nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam diri staf dan pimpinandalam proses berbagi pengetahuan diantara mereka guna mengembangkankompetensi personal. Adapun pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian iniadalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode interpretif. Pengumpulan data yangdilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan analisis dokumenterkait proses berbagi pengetahuan di Perpustakaan Bank Indonesia. Adapun hasilpenelitian ini bahwa budaya berbagi pengetahuan telah terinternalisasi di dalam diriindividu baik staf maupun pimpinan di Perpustakaan Bank Indonesia sehinggamereka dapat mengembangkan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan. Pembentukan budayaberbagi pengetahuan tersebut dibangun berdasarkan adanya relasi antar stafperpustakaan dan pimpinan. Pembanguan relasi antara staf dan pimpinan dibangunatas dasar nilai kepercayaan dan saling menghargai antar staf perpustakaan. Dalamproses menjaga relasi tersebut terdapat juga proses negosiasi yang dapatmenyeimbangkan antara kepentingan individu yang berbeda-beda dengankepentingan kelompok yang akan dituju. ABSTRACT This thesis discusses about the process of knowledge sharing between thecommissioners and staffs of Bank Indonesia Library. The aim of conducting thisresearch is to figure out the process of knowledge sharing between the commissionersand staffs of Bank Indonesia Library and to examine values internalized withincommissioners and staffs in the process of knowledge sharing to develop personalcompetence. The approach used in this research is qualitative approach withinterpretive method. The data collection is done through deep interview, directobservation, and document analysis related to the process of knowledge sharing atBank Indonesia Library. The result of this research is that the culture of knowledgesharing has been internalized within individuals, either staffs of commissioners ofBank Indonesia Library so that they are able to develop the competence needed. Theformulation of knowledge sharing culture is built based on the relation between thelibrary staffs and commissioners. The development of relations between staff andcommissioners is built on the basis of trust and mutual respect among the librarystaffs.
