[ ABSTRAK Jurnal ini membahas mengenai representasi imaji tubuh perempuan di dalam media massa. Saat ini, media massa telah menciptakan sebuah standar, untuk menentukan imaji atau bentuk tubuh yang ideal bagi perempuan. Hal tersebut kemudian secara terus-menerus direpresentasikan oleh mereka sehingga, terdapat kecenderungan oleh perempuan-perempuan masa kini, untuk mengikuti standar imaji tubuh, ciptaan media massa tersebut. Kecenderungan perilaku ini termasuk ke dalam modus ‘to have’ dalam To Have or To Be di mana di dalamnya ditegaskan bahwa, dengan terjadinya perilaku tersebut maka, perempuan-perempuan masa kini, telah dihantarkan untuk mengkonsumsi kehampaan dan tidak lebih dari sekedar korban media massa.; ABSTRACTThe focus of this journal is to discusses the representation of female body image in the mass media. Nowadays, mass media has created a standard to deciding the ideal female body image. Then, that standard represented by mass media continualy. Because of that, there is a willingness from females in this day, to follow the standar of mass media body image. This willingness becomes one of ‘to have’ mode in To Have or To Be.
